JC Melton Air Conditioning is a fourth-generation, locally-owned HVAC company that has served Fresno and the Central Valley since 1948. Founded by Frank Melton after returning from World War II, the company has grown from a one-man sheet metal operation into a full-service HVAC provider with three facilities, a team of service technicians, installation specialists, and office professionals, and service coverage across more than 40 equipment brands. Today the company is led by President and CEO Brad Melton and VP/CFO Curt Melton — Frank’s grandchildren. Our Family History

Melton Air Conditioning began in 1948 after Frank Melton returned from WWII. Frank’s company started as a sheet metal business and quickly grew into a full-service HVAC contracting company. With four sons — Jack, Pete, Tom, and Frank Jr. — following in their father’s footsteps, the business expanded steadily through the decades.

From the early days when the family would shoo the chickens off the tools to begin work each morning, to the company that now spans three buildings and employs service, installation, sheet metal, and office professionals, JC Melton has remained family-owned and locally rooted throughout its 75+ year history.

The honest business values and strong work ethic that Frank established in 1948 are carried on today by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We stand behind the work we are doing now, just as we have stood behind the work we have done for decades.
